RexCorp Honors Members of New Jersey’s Real Estate Community at Annual Awards Gala

RexCorp Realty LLC (“RexCorp”) recently held its annual holiday gala at One Giralda Farms in Madison, N.J. This event, widely attended by New Jersey’s top real estate executives, is traditionally recognized as one of the largest and most highly anticipated annual industry gatherings in the region.
At the gala, RexCorp presented two “Broker of the Year” Awards. These awards are given to those brokers in acknowledgement of their success and achievements in a highly creative or sizeable transaction at a RexCorp property, which has had a notable impact on the market. In addition to the award, the Brokers of the Year receive a $5,000 donation from RexCorp to the Morristown Memorial Cancer Center. Douglas A. Gaffney (pictured), Senior Managing Director, The Schultz Organization received the award in the office category in recognition of the 41,384-square-foot lease for Schwartz, Simon, Edelstein Celso and Kessler at 44 Whippany Road in Morristown, N.J. In addition, Frank Kobola, CCIM, Associate, Colliers Houston & Co., received the award in the flex category for the 24,000-square-foot lease of the Snyders of Hanover Distribution Center at 400 Forge Way in Rockaway, N.J.

Wang and Rechler donate $1 million to start charity

The partnership formed by Charles Wang and Scott Rechler is creating a new grant-making charity they call the Lighthouse Foundation, which they say will help fund community-building projects in the neighborhoods around the Coliseum area they hope to redevelop.
